How to download pattern files: <Back to Shopping info
Once you have placed your order, you can retrieve your patterns in 3 easy steps.
1. Check your email. Within minutes you will receive your password and a link to "your account" page where the pattern files will be waiting for you.

2. Click on the file and "Open". You will be prompted for your password.

3. Print out your pattern and save your file onto your computer.
To be able to download your files you need:
1. To provide a valid email address. You will receive important information by email, including your password, which you will need to open your files.
2. If you have a "spam filter" that rejects automated emails, we recommend you add the following address services@creativepoppy.com to your contacts, address book or white list.
3. You will also need Acrobat Reader (5.0 or a more recent release).
Acrobat Reader is preinstalled on most computers. To check if you do have this program, click on "Start" (bottom left of screen), then "All programs" and see if it is listed in the programs already installed on your computer. If it is missing, or if you have an earlier release (such as Adobe Reader 4.0), you can download it for free by clicking on the "Get Adobe Reader" icon below.

Troubleshooting:
STEP 1. RECEIVE EMAIL FROM CREATIVE POPPY
>>If you have not received an email from us within 45 minutes of placing an order:
A password is necessary for opening any pattern file. We send you this password by email. If you haven't received an email from us, it might have been filtered out by your spam filter.
1. Check your junk email file:Creative Poppy's email might have been placed there.
If it is the case, simply open the email and follow the instructions. IMPORTANT: if it is the case, make sure you add services@creativepoppy.com to your contacts or white list to make sure you get any other messages.
2. Else, the email might have bounced.
Contact us with a "did not receive password" message at services@creativepoppy.com. Be careful to add this address to your contacts or white list so you receive our answer. If our email was treated as spam, it usually works best that you email us and we reply: emails usually always get through this way.
Important: do not move on to step 2 if you didn't get our email and your passwords.
STEP 2: ACCESS YOUR CREATIVE POPPY ACCOUNT AND DOWLOAD PATTERN FILES
Regular process:
- Click on the link we provided in the email or here.
- Access you account by entering your email address and the password you chose when opening your account.
- Landing on "Your orders" page, click "details". The files are listed in the lower left part of the page. They appear in blue, with a tiny file icon in front.
- Click on file to open it.
>>If the file is not ready for download, it will appear in black instead of blue. Clicking with your mouse will not activate it.
- This is an isolated technical incident. Please contact us with message "file not available" at services@creativepoppy.com
>>If the file is active (color blue and icon) but you still get an error message:
- Check if the right version of Adobe Reader is installed on your computer. See information higher in this page.
>>If you have exceeded the number of authorized downloads (message - 0 downloads available)
- Don't worry, contact us with message "no downloads left" at services@creativepoppy.com and we will make that file available to you.
STEP 3: ENTERING THE PASSWORD
The password(s) are sent to you by email, just after you placed your order. There is a different one for each pattern. Do not confuse with the password you chose yourself when opening an account on Creative Poppy's website.
>>You you don't succeed entering your password (error message: "The password is incorrect"):
1. There might have been a typing mistake
- The password is a mix of capital letters and numbers. Check your "Caps lock" key on your keyboard.
- Check that you haven't typed the letter "O" instead of the number "0" (zéro).
- You can copy and paste the password directly from the email. In this case, be careful not to select any extra blank spaces before or after the code.
2. You might have confused your own account password and the passwords attributed for the files:
- Do not use the password you chose youself for opening your account and the passwords provided by us for each pattern. These are listed in our email, in the table with the detail of your order.
3. If the password still doesn't work, contact us with the message "wrong password" at services@creativepoppy.com
